How to download and install Android 12 Beta update

Although the method of installing differs according to the smartphone you own, downloading Android 12 Beta is quite simple.

  • If you own a Pixel smartphone that supports Android 12, go to the Android 12 Beta website
  • Tap on “Get the Beta” under Google Pixel and follow the instructions given.
  • If you are not notified about installing the software, do it manually by tapping on System Update inside phone settings.

If you use other phones which are eligible for the update go to the website and tap on “Get the Beta” under the phone brand you use. Follow the instructions to complete the procedure and install the update.

We recommend you to take a complete backup of your device before you update. Note that you cannot revert to the stable public version of Android without erasing all the data on your phone. Most experts don’t recommend the Android 12 Beta version for the phones that are eligible for it, because, if it happens to be your primary phone you might have to deal with bugs that will be fixed only in the final version and launched officially.
