Acer’s New Windows Mixed Reality Headset

The virtual reality market has been quietly moving toward the next generation of flagship headsets. Global PC maker Acer launched its Mixed Reality headset which relies on Microsoft’s Mixed Reality ecosystem, first in US on October 17 as part of the Fall Creator’s Update for Windows 10. [ip:”IN”]The company hasn’t disclosed the price of the device yet in INDIA, and [/ip] it is available at the market for 399 $(Basic model 299$), and in UK at £ 399.99.

Look: The Acer Mixed Reality (AH101) is glossy Royal Blue with just a few black accents. It’s nice to see. A black strip of plastic sits in the middle, sandwiched by Logos for Acer and Windows Mixed Reality. It has Air vents back along the face mask at the top and bottom which help keep you cool during long sessions. The adjustable, double-padded headband is made of black-matte plastic with blue head buckle set in the centre. The headset interior has removable foam padding to keep it smooth.

The two front-hinged 2.89-inch high-resolution LCD provide a wide 95-degree field of view .It features a maximum resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 with a refresh rate of 90Hz delivers claim to offer clear and realistic images for an mixed reality experience.
