Google releases lighter version of Gmail in the Play Store to support older smartphones
Nowadays Google has started introducing lighter versions of its app’s in Android to support low-performance devices. Here is a good news if you are a user who struggles every time to see emails in you less performing mobile, Google has released a Lighter version of Gmail named Gmail Go. It is the next line up by Google to support smartphones and other Android devices with 1 GB or Less RAM.
As the Gmail Go is just an optimised version of Gmail App, meant to run faster and to utilize less resource. Gmail Go probably misses some features included in the full-fledged version, but is carefully packed with the essential ones that are required to be a good mailing application. Some of the features available are A smarter inbox, Gmail Go spam blocker, 15GB of free storage, Multiple account support (Set up both Gmail and non-Gmail addresses like Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail, or other IMAP/POP email ).

As of now, It appears that Gmail Go is not yet available for download in all countries. In fact, it’s not even compatible with all Android devices, although the list of supported devices might expand in the coming weeks.
