How to Schedule Text Message on Android – Delayed SMS
You can now schedule outgoing messages on Android phones if you are using Android 7 or later versions. This feature was released by Google not long ago and it is pretty similar to how we schedule emails. The ability to delay a text can save time and avoid forgetting scenarios. This article will tell you how the text scheduling feature can be used on your phone.
Scheduling messages is quite simple and it just takes two to three extra taps when compared to sending normal messages. Before you follow the steps given below, make sure that you are using the latest version of Google Messages. If the app is not up to date, go to the Play store and update it first.
Use the button below to download or update Google Messages.
Steps to schedule a text
- Unlock your Android phone and launch Google Messages. (Given the app is up to date).
- Choose the contact to whom you want to send a message.
- Type the text that you are going to schedule.
- Instead of just tapping the send button, tap and hold it.
- A menu will pop up in which you can schedule the time and date.
- After setting the date and time, tap on Done.
